I'm also facing the low quality audio in this model. I too have the same model laptop HP 15R203TX which I had bought on 18th June. I don't use my laptop speakers much, so I'm fine with this until HP decides to fix this fluctuation and compression problem with their Realtek driver. ![]() Now I have awesome sound with external speakers, but the laptop's internal speakers are low and lackluster at best. ![]() I uninstalled this driver and installed the latest Realtek driver from their own website. That HP-modified driver ruined the sound with external speakers because of its horrid fluctuation and compression via the Beats Audio control panel. I know all this because I uninstalled my HP-modified Realtek driver on my Envy 15t. That'll be the most recent driver that HP has for your computer. From that tab, find "Realtek HIgh-Definition (HD) Audio Driver" and check that box. ![]() From there, you can hit the "Reinstall drivers and/or applications" tab. Search for "HP Recovery Manager" in your charms bar in W8/8.1 to see if you still have the Recovery Manager. If still installed, you can use HP Recovery manager to redownload your specific Realtek's audio driver. In order to have full fuction of your laptop speakers, you will need HP's Realtek audio driver for your notebook model.
